Aiden’s frown deepened, but when he realized that the tough act wasn’t working, his thoughts immediately went straight to the idea that he was in trouble now. His eyes widened, and he backed away from Agony. He looked…scared. “That’s not a real answer,” he said, struggling to keep his voice steady. “C-can you tell me where I am? And I’m not a kid!”
“It is if you don’t think about it” Agony purred, a hint of his logic pouring through in his words he took in the widened frightened eyes, and quivering voice both things coaxing a sigh from him “yeah…sure I can tell you where you are kid” he said nodding vigorously, “of course your a kid! your what…ten? That’s a kid.”
“I’m old enough to fight! And I’m older than that, I’m a spirit, like you!” He shot back, now both angry and scared. He crossed his arms, which were also bruised. Someone really did a number on this kid. “So where am I? And how often are you hanging out here? I’m asking because you might have seen someone who ditched me here.”
Agony tried not to laugh, he honestly made a effort but a snort managed to slip through and that crumbled the facade. He tried to put in place “sure you are kid” he said reaching out to ruffle the other male’s hair, “your in Burgess…well…a forest in Burgess to be more exact” he informed him, “sorry kid if there were other people, I would have noticed them your the only one here.”
